Today we honor Leonard Bakey with the Norwood Fire Company whose LODD was 8/15/1971. Firefighter Bakey collapsed while operating a 2.5"" hand line with other firefighters on scene of garage fire on August 15th, 1971. CPR was initiated immediately, however unsuccessful, Firefighter Bakey was transported to Taylor Hospital and passed away.
