Today we honor Constantine Pietrak with the Philadelphia Fire Department whose LODD was 8/31/1971 Captain Constantine S. Pietrak, 56 - Engine 35 Philadelphia Fire Department. Philadelphia, PA While Captain Pietrak was operating at a fire in a basement storage room of the 22 story River Park Apartment building, he died of smoke inhalation. Seven other firefighters were also injured.
